Tequila Recipes
It’s not just for drinking anymore
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb peeled and cleaned shrimp
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/2 c white tequila
- 3/4 c crema or sour cream
- 1 scallion sliced thin
- 3 Tbsp lime juice
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp oil
Preparation
- Mix lime juice, honey and oil in a bowl
- Marinate shrimp for 1-2 hrs in the mixture
- It’s easiest to use a big ziplock bag
- Heat the butter in a large skillet with high edges until it’s frothy
- Sauté shrimp for 3-5 min until pink
- Add the tequila If you are feeling adventurous, flame it with a long match, if not get someone brave to do it Be very careful
- Allow the flame to burn out
- Toss with the crema and serve with rice or pasta
Ingredients
- For 1 recipe 6 pieces of drumsticks or wings
- You can multiply the recipe
- 1 1/2 c peach preserves
- 2 Tbsp crushed chile peppers
- 1/3 c white tequila
Preparation
- Mix the ingredients and heat on a medium flame for about 10-12 min
- Let it cool for a few min
- Roll each piece of chicken in the marinade to coat
- Bake at 350 for about an hour until crispy or grill
- Sweet and spicy. It’s a good one.
Ingredients
- 2 c crushed graham crackers
- 3/4 c melted butter
- 1/3 c white tequila
- 1/2 c lime juice
- 5 large egg yolks
- 3 egg whites
- 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
- 2Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 bag melted white chocolate to drizzle
Preparation
- Heat oven to 350
- Mix 1 1/4 c graham cracker crumbs with butter
- Press into a 3×9 baking pan
- Bake for 15 min. Or until golden
- Whisk yolks, tequila, lime juice, and condensed milk in a big bowl
- Mix the egg whites and sugar with a mixer until they form soft peaks
- Fold that gently into the liquid mix
- Spread over crust
- Cover with remaining crumb mix
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hrs
- Then melt the chocolate and drizzle on top.
